October is the toughest month. Students stop coming for tuition. Some come back only after the holidays. Rental payment is still as per normal. My salary has to be cut. I am not sure if I have to suffer the same fate in November and December too. Sighz....:(
How I wish those reading my blog can recommend more students to my centre? I need 100 students just to sustain the business 'coz rental is high.

Can the good Samaritans out there, lift my centre up so that it can carry on tutoring students?
Ciao!

Digital mania
1 pm was my appointment. I had to meet Andrew, someone I have never met before, to buy over a second-hand camera, Olympus FE-190. We met at Dhoby Gaut MRT station control. I fiddled with the equipment and gave him S$200 since it met the specifications from Ebay. It was my first trade from Ebay. What an experience! Smooth-sailing......
About the camera, the images are not fantastic but somewhat average. I can capture some videos but the video is grainy. I am not sure if it was a good deal. Anyway, all I wanted was a digital camera where I can take pictures and load some onto my blog.
Here are some snapshots of my cute niece.

Chemistry rox!
I cannot believe this! Basil and Greg, both my 'tweeties' stood me up. *Arghz.....*
[Calm down, take a few breaths..] Anyway, Basil scored well in Chemistry and so I gave him the permission to enjoy himself. I should not be angry with him for not coming, I guess. Actually, he had the courtesy to leave an SMS at 9 am informing me of his Chemistry marks - '62.5 out of 90' (about 70%). Well done, Basil! You never fail to amaze me. Greg, on the other hand, scored 55 marks and the highest scorer being 60+. Given that, I should say he has performed fairly well but definitely, there is room for improvement.
Since both the boys did not turn up for Chemistry tuition, all my tutoring time was given to Gabriel. Not forgetting, Gabriel has done well too. He scored 81 out of 100 marks, second in class. Good job, Gabriel!
Going back to what I want to share, Gabriel complimented me how interesting my ways of teaching Chemistry concepts was. He suggested that I should write a book on '101 ways to learn Chemistry concepts'. At that point, I have to say I was pretty inspired. More interest grew when he said it can become a best seller. Hmm........maybe I should start compiling and think of what cartoons to use to illustrate the mnemonics. Well, so much for the cerebral humour.
If you have any suggestions or ideas or inspiration, do give your comments or simply hit the 'Chatterbox'.

The Empire Strikes Back!
Hi all,
Just wanna come up with a title to catch your attention. Frankly, nothing great but it is just me , antzman returned from eons back since the inception of blogomania. Hahha... Just to start off, I was so tired out by my tuition from 11 pm to 7:30 am, can you beat that? But no sweat! I enjoyed the session anyway. During the session, I got to understand my 'tutees' (for want of a better word) better from the casual conversations.
I did not know Rainer can be so chatty. He shared his views about life and religion and also his family. One question that particularly stimulated my intellectual curiosity was "Which came first? Dinosaurs or Adam & Eve?" *Scratch! scratch!* And as for Desmond, a good buddy he is (*sarcasm*). He left us at 2 am coz he was tired out by his outing to Johor. It's OK - Forgiven. Hmm.....as for Chun Han, he is reserved, seemingly focussed in his Chemistry and talks only when necessary.
My interesting 'tutees'. Hmm...'tutees' sounds like 'tweeties'. Good! I shall now coin this homonym from my 'tutees' to my ' tweeties' (note the spelling). Why 'tweeties'? Coz I think they take after birdies and also they are gregarious. 'Tweeties' they shall be.
Stay tuned for the next continuing episode of 'ANTZMAN BLOX'..........
Ciao!
