Liberty....not entirely....:(

Sunday has finally arrived and I am able to run my errands but most importantly, rest. Sadly, 9 pm tonight, I have to arrive in camp. This in-camp reminds me of my Basic Military Training days.

Speaking of my ICT, the week seemed fine though there were a few strenuous trainings. Anyway, next week is going to be tiring as I'll be onboard a ship of some kind. My fear is feeling sea-sick and unable to go through the entire training. But I will mentally prepare myself and go through the whole training.

Just before I leave tonight, I will be advertising my blogsite through 1-800-mail. If you are interested, you can sign up too. Here is the URL for 1-800-mail : free advertising.

I am certainly looking forward to earning a few bucks while I'm away. I'll be back on Thursday hopefully if the whole exercise turns out well.

Have a nice week ahead!

Condo-mania!

Condominiums lah.....not condom! What were you thinking of?....Hahahahha....

Oh! What a beautiful swimming pool! Having viewed the condo pictures of my good friend's blog, Mr Soo, my interest in condos re-ignited.

Well, I have always wanted to stay in a condo all by myself. The thought of staying in a place of spaciousness and reflections of white terrazo is simply ethereal.

Ironically, I fear staying alone because my mind tends to wander into horrifying imageries and apparitions at night. I blame this on the horror movies and friends' ghost stories. But I guess I have to learn to deal with my strayed mind. Hmm...instead of leaving the condo empty, I will probably rent it out and earn some bucks.

I particularly take a fancy to Newton condos because first, they are spacious and second, they are straddled between town and the heartlands. Pretty convenient in terms of travelling I must say.

Anyway, I don't think I will be getting a condo since the prices are currently on the high side. Perhaps when the property fever subsides, I will be checking them again. Perhaps, 5 years later...

What a lousy day!

Bounced cheque? OMG! An SMS I received from Vic, my biz partner that our cheque bounced for payment of October's rental. Abundance Management is not going to be happy about this.... :( I just wished that this matter could be resolved quickly.

5:30 pm, I met Jason at Ang Mo Kio Cash Converter Blk 710A to help him trade-in his dad's old Palm PDA. The wait was so long. I had to stay with Jason because trade-in require persons 18 years of age and he was 2 years short of the requirement. Yet, I had to rush back to Clear Minds@Fernvale to interview a JC Physics tutor, Eric at 7 pm. When it came to his turn, it was already 6:55 pm. The PDA that was supposedly priced at S$600 was traded in for S$7. Oh no! I am definitely going to be late for the interview with the tutor but fortunately, the interviewee called me up last minute to postpone his interview to Saturday 2 pm. I was quite unhappy at first because of the time and effort taken to arrange for my partner, Vic to be at the interview. Fortunately, Vic was able to make himself free for the Saturday's interview.

Now so much for the above episode. Quite frustrating indeed! But my unhappiness was not over for the day. I arranged to meet a group of ex-students (Eugene, Zexiang, Taichi and Aloysius) for dinner at Chomp Chomp, 8 pm. To my horror, Zexiang called up to say that the dinner appointment was cancelled. Zexiang related to me over the phone that because Eugene is not going, Taichi is not going and that resulted in him not going too. I got really mad and told Zexiang off. I told him I will not be organising such outings anymore. The reason being at the last minute, one of the members will call up to say he will not be coming and this same incident happened on 2 occasions. I mean how not to get angry?.....>:( Zexiang sensed my unhappiness over the phone and asked if he can accompany me for dinner. I refused and told him no point because I lost the mood for a dinner outing.

I hope this will teach them a lesson not to take a promise lightly. I mean it is totally understandable when one cannot make it due to personal reasons such as family matters. I am so disappointed with youths of today.

And yes! I will not organise such outings anymore. Only when there is one, I will decide whether to go for outing. The point I am trying to convey is organising an outing is not easy especially when time and effort is taken for the organiser to co-ordinate the event.

Just my luck, today! How exasperating!...Arghh.....zzzzzzzzz...............

*Breathe in,.....breathe out....breathe in,....breathe out....*

Living is as sleep is.

As a doctor quoted in the Sunday Times, "an average Singaporean 80 years of age spends 27 years of his life sleeping." What? That means essentially, he lives his life awake 53 years only. So why do we sleep? How do we spend our time meaningfully when we sleep? Aren't we wasting our time? I don't understand why God made us this way. On one hand, he wants us to keep watch 'coz he will come when you least expect him while on the other hand, we have to take good care of ourselves, healthwise - simply, sleep! Is a sleep-wake cycle a purposeless routine? Why aren't we allowed to either stay awake all the time or sleep all the time? Sighz.....dilemma, dilemma, dilemma.

Do I live to eat or eat to live? Making sense of this is so difficult. If I live to eat, then I am some kind of a glut enjoying life. But if I eat to live, then living is meant to be purposeful but the joy of living...erm....I can't see that because that means simply working hard, am I not right?
